Yin and Yoga Nidra Class is a donationbased class to support the Good Shepherd Food Bank.  Our donations and practice will support many hungry community members during the cold winter months. Join Mary to both give and receive!

During the class, you will enjoy a yin sequence  followed by a yoga nidra practice, leaving you feeling open, spacious, relaxed, and rejuvenated.

Yin yoga, a slower paced practice, uses passive floor poses that work the deeper connective tissues, mostly in the lower body.  Postures are held for longer periods of time to create increased circulation and flexibility.   The meditative nature of Yin provides a quiet space for the yinster to simply be.

Yoga Nidra – sleep with awareness – is a systematic guided practice that delivers us to a place between wakefulness and sleep,  While in a supported, reclining position. Yoga Nidra intends to induce a state of physical  mental and emotional relaxation.

No prior yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothes and any extras such as socks/ sweatshirts etc.  Props are provided.
