Eleni will begin teaching Basics classes at our Portland studio beginning October 8th on Mondays, 5:30am – 6:30am and Wednesdays, 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Join them in class sometime.
Sarah is a born and raised New Englander. She spent most of her life in Connecticut before attending college in New Hampshire. The cultivation of her yoga practice began when she moved to Maine in 2014. She and her husband eventually bought an old farmhouse in Bangor where they care for a few acres, too many vehicles, two cats, and two dogs. Sarah recently completed the OLY-TT program, and now to offers dynamic classes with a thematic perspective. Because she is an overall fitness and movement enthusiast, she enjoys playing with unique transitions and sequences. Always a student, she also loves attending classes at Om Land, and appreciates the opportunity to give something back to the community that has given her so much.
Eleni has been practicing yoga for eleven years and has been leading yoga classes for six. She was first introduced to yoga while studying at the University of Southern Maine. Eleni is a 2018, RYT-200 graduate of Om Land Yoga, Teacher Training program. Eleni is currently enrolled in a Thai Yoga Practitioner training, and has a masters in Education Leadership & Technology Education. Eleni is excited to be back in Portland to share her love of yoga with the Portland community. Yoga has personally changed her life, helping her cultivate self-love, self-acceptance, physical and mental growth, and internal stillness she hadn’t felt prior to beginning her practice. When Eleni’s not practicing on her mat, you can find her snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, sailing, traveling, dancing to live music, or working in a local coffee shop. Eleni is her happiest when holding the space for others to experience everything a yoga practice has to offer. She is passionate, experienced, and will welcome you with open arms, wherever you are on your journey.
