Amy Faircloth discovered yoga in her forties as a way to cope with the stress of her job as a lawyer by watching Rodney Yee’s Yoga for Flexibility video. She started taking classes at Central Street Yoga (now Om Land Yoga) but never considered becoming a yoga teacher until her brother suggested she take a teacher training course. Amy graduated with her RYT-200 certification in 2016 from the Om Land Yoga Teacher Training program.
Realizing that every decade of life has its obstacles, Amy is using her fifties to figure out how to stay healthy for years to come. Practicing yoga has become part of that equation.
Amy’s Basics classes focus on graceful aging using achievable yet challenging yoga poses to develop physical strength and flexibility as well as physical and emotional balance. She is excited to share her approach with students of all ages and abilities and looks forward to the opportunity of exploring her vision of yoga with you in her classes.
