Not sure what Thai Massage is?
“Thai massage is an accessible, dynamic form of bodywork that uses a blend of techniques to achieve a state of deep relaxation and peaceful release in the body, mind, and spirit. Thai massage is performed fully clothed on top of a cushioned mat or massage table. During a session, a meditative practitioner gracefully guides the recipient through a series of passive, yoga-like stretches, using their hands, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet to compress and palpate the muscles of the body. Throughout the treatment, rhythmic rocking and targeted acupressure are used to replenish energy stores and lull the recipient into a blissful state of relaxation.” – Still Light Centre
Over the past fourteen years Shai has taught Thai Massage at some of the largest yoga centers in the world including the Kripalu Center and Omega Institute. He has authored or co-authored 14 manuals and books on the practice of Thai Massage, trained over 2500 practitioners and 100 teachers in this healing art. As the founder of the Still Light Centre he brings a passionate and calm approach to his teaching that can bring out the Thai master in anyone. He believes that compassionate touch is our birthright.
