Roople Unia is a lifelong yogi and is also a Neurologist with subspecialty training in Stroke and Movement Disorders. She thus appreciates the underlying science of yoga and its effect on the nervous system. She has experienced many different styles of yoga in different parts of the world but trained as a Sri Sri Yoga teacher due to its holistic approach and joyful spirit. She enjoys keeping physically active by rock climbing, hiking, skiing and running. She finds yoga an excellent complement to these activities for improving strength, flexibility, balance, and for injury prevention. She also finds in yoga a reprieve from daily stresses, and a way to care for herself so she can care for others.
