My life of Yoga sprouted from a love of movement infused with a hippie upbringing filled with nature and a healthy dose of mysticism.
Growing up I studied different forms of dance. Yoga became a natural extension of my explorations. My practice involved local classes and a few beloved VHS tapes and DVDs. After attending Hampshire College and criss crossing the country a few times in a Jeep, I re-settled in Maine and explored what the next adventure would be. I realized that my propensity for nurturing and connection would be best brought into service through my love of Yoga by becoming a teacher. I attended ShivaShakti School of Yoga and Healing Arts and received my Yoga Teacher Certification. Although becoming pregnant during teacher training directed my focus of practice from a rigorous physical one to that of a loving householder, I always found the opportunity to teach. Sometimes it would be in private sessions, at local classes, to children at the Wassookeag Learning Community or at Yoga outings in our beautiful Maine surroundings.
I am so excited to be joining the Om Land Yoga tribe and to continue fostering within myself as well as my students, the ebullience, personal transformation and well being that Yoga brings!
