Christine’s introduction to yoga came through dance, while studying the ancient Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam. After studying and teaching numerous dance forms throughout Maine, Virginia, and New Jersey for over 15 years, she returned home to Bangor and immersed herself in yoga.
After seeing the immense physical benefits of yoga throughout her first pregnancy, she decided she simply had to teach yoga so she could share those benefits with others. Half-way through her RYT-200 training, which she completed at Om Land Yoga in July 2012, she got pregnant with her second child, and, thanks to her yoga training, she avoided an emergency c-section!
As a teacher, Christine hopes to share her passion for movement with people of all ages and capabilities. Besides teaching at Om Land Yoga, she also teaches corporate yoga and prenatal yoga, owns BANGOR WINE AND CHEESE, and does medical billing.
