Angela began practicing yoga in 2001 in Indiana with Teji Dilley. In 2004, she took her teacher’s advice and completed a teacher training program with Iyengar-certified instructors, Kathleen Flanagan (California) and HS Arun (India). Angela has taught classes at a community center, an elementary school, a hospital, a health care clinic and yoga studios. In keeping with Iyengar principles, Angela incorporates alignment, balance, flexibility, strength and kinesthetic awareness into her classes. In addition, she utilizes mindfulness yoga in her practice as a psychotherapist, combining the intellectual and philosophical aspects of yoga to help her clients reduce stress, anxiety and depression. In the future, she plans to expand her practice to combine yoga with her love of outdoor activities and to offer classes specifically geared to improve mental well-being.
