Gain strength, flexibility and confidence: Amy offers basic yoga that stretches, strengthens and teaches balance and breathing techniques to enhance your life. Her Basics classes use achievable yet challenging poses to help develop physical strength and flexibility as well as physical and emotional balance. Classes can help you reconnect with your body, gain agility and add a spring to your step.
“My favorite classes are ones where my students connect with each other,” Amy says, “where we breathe together, attempt poses together and laugh together.”
Amy, a lawyer in Bangor, graduated with her 200-hour certification in 2016 from the Om Land Yoga Teacher Training program. She was certified to teach Yin yoga in 2018 from Hot Asana University in North Carolina and has received training in yoga for people in their prime of life. She has taught at Om Land since August 2016 and has taught adult education yoga through the Hampden/Orono school districts for several semesters. She is working on her 500-hour certification through the North Carolina studio.
Amy is excited to share her approach with students of all ages and abilities and looks forward to the opportunity of exploring her vision of yoga with you in her classes.
