Full Moon Yoga Nidra

Join us at Om Land once each month for a special kind of introspective practice. Yoga Nidra, or “sleep yoga”, is a restorative, restful modality. Guided attention and compassionate observation are supported by a cozy, effortless posture with lots of props and a soothing environment. In the full moon’s light we can practice together to experience deep self-care and community. Come as you are, or for a special shared experience bring a loved one or friend. All are welcome; no prior yoga experience is necessary. Students will be invited to build a cozy spot for themselves upon arrival. Some suggested items to optionally bring with you if you wish: your own yoga mat, warm socks, an eye pillow or cloth, a special blanket. Studio props are available for all to use.

Aerial Yoga Basics Workshops

Have you always thought about what it would be like to fly?

Want to take your yoga practice to the next level? Give Aerial Yoga a try! Your first step is signing up for an Aerial Yoga Basics Workshop. We are offering these workshops as a means of getting your feet wet with an aerial practice and to cover basic techniques and safety issues you will encounter in future classes. Completing the Aerial Yoga Basics Workshop is a prerequisite to taking any of our regularly scheduled Aerial Yoga classes.

Use the following links to sign-up online. Available spots fill fast. If you don’t see a date or time that works for you, please check back here soon as we continue to add additional workshops as they fill up.

Also, a few tips for your first visit.

  • Leave the jewels at home – bracelets, earrings, necklaces, watches, and even zippers are at risk of getting hung up in the fabric.
  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before the start time so we will have time to match you up to the hammock that best suits your height. Otherwise you may get stuck with a hammock that is too high or too low.
  • Wear long pants that aren’t too baggy and a shirt with sleeves. The fabric can feel a little harsh on your skin until you become more used to it.
