Follow the Moon’s lead and retreat into stillness with Yoga Nidra! New Moon Yoga Nidra affords us an opportunity to connect with the natural rhythm of the Moon’s cycles and emerge refreshed and ready to come back into our own fullness.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice requiring nothing more of us than to lie down and listen. A systematic method of complete relaxation and peace; it suspends us in the space between wakefulness and sleep, the place we visit naturally before we fall asleep; a place of deep calm, quiet and clarity. We emerge from Yoga Nidra refreshed and alert. Krista describes it as “Savasana on steroids”!
Dress as you would for a yoga class, but be sure to include a layer for warmth, including cozy socks. Props will be provided, however, you may wish to bring a blanket and/or thin pillow from home, especially if you have any allergies to wool. You may also wish to bring a journal for post-practice reflection (optional).
